Fried Vegan Calamari Recipe
Ingredients
- 1 can Nature’s Charm vegan calamari
- 200ml aquafaba
- ¾ cup bread crumbs
- Neutral oil for frying
- Batter ingredients:
- ½ cup all purpose flour
- 1 tbs + 2tsp cornstarch
- ½ tsp paprika
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- ½ tsp black pepper
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions
- Prepare the following items in 4 separate bowls, Nature’s Charm vegan calamari (drained), batter ingredients, aquafaba, whisking into light foams, bread crumbs.
- Dip the individual vegan calamari into the flour mix, followed by the aquafaba, then fully the crumbs
- Put aside in a tray in preparation for frying.
- Repeat until all individual vegan calamari are coated and ready for frying.
- n a shallow frying pan, heat up the oil.
- Once oil is hot, shallow fry the vegan calamari until golden brown and place on paper towel to absorb additional oil.
- erve with a dipping sauce of choice and enjoy!
